E-commerce website for timber merchant

This is the second incarnation of the estatesawmills.com website and has built on the strengths of the first website by making their online presence more widely available on mobile and tablet devices.

The brief was to build a fully content managed website that worked on mobile devices.

This project is based on a bespoke content managmeent system (CMS) built using Object Oriented PHP and the Zend Framework with a MySQL database allowing almost every aspect of this system to be controlled by the client. The client can manage and edit page layouts, content, banners, products, customers and reviews - the backend of this site allows for extremely flexible control over the whole e-commerce system.

The system also has a custom front end design built using HTML & CSS and with JQuery interactive enhancements.

Developments to the system are managed using GIT version control.
