Tuscany, Italy

An amazing man-made landscape like no other

The region of Tuscany is like a playground for any landscape photographer. The surface of this beautiful region is marked out with strong geometric patterns as vineyards interlock with sunlower and poppy fields. The roads and gravel tracks are lined with tall cypress trees that snake up and down the undulating landscape leading to grand terracotta topped villas proudly perched atop thecrests of almost every large undulation. The light seems to always be golden in Tuscany and in particul the Val D'Orcia

As well as the beautiful open landscape, Tuscany has it's fair share of attractive towns and cities that offer that classic taste of Italy. I particularly enjoyed capturing the textures and earthy tones of the small villages.
